Katherine Faydash is a Senior Fellow at the Great Cities Institute and a researcher and planner specializing in community-engaged research, urban planning, and applied policy. At GCI, she designs and conducts research in collaboration with nonprofit organizations, community partners, and local governments to support planning, policy development, and funding strategies. Her broader professional background focuses on making complex research clear, rigorous, and useful, drawing on more than two decades of experience in academic publishing, manuscript consulting, and translation evaluation. She holds a master’s degree in urban planning and policy and teaches developmental and manuscript editing through the University of Chicago’s professional education programs.
