GCI Director Teresa Córdova will be speaking via Skype at the INLOGOV Summer Symposium. This years theme is “Bridging the gap: how can local government unlock resources for the future?” The symposium takes place June 12th through the 14th at the University of Birmingham, U.K.
This invitation symposium brings together distinguished UK and international academics and leaders in the field of local government to share new ideas, creativity, evidence and experience on some of the major challenges for local government. We’ll be exploring three key themes and thinking about some of the implications of changes in governance, funding and function for local government. What skills and understanding will be needed by 21st century public servants? What are the practical ways in which organisations might change, transform themselves and move forward?
